Cycle Time Management (CTM) addresses the issue of simplifying and integrating the many management strategies for process improvement. The 4-Factor Plan is a simple model from which all productivity and quality strategies such as TQC, JIT, TPM and TQM can be really linked together for partial or total implementation. The issue of implementing each of the strategies can be simply addressed by following a simple 4-Factor Plan model which is systematic in design and representative of the total manufacturing workflow system. Many managers and engineers are amazed by the simplicity and effectiveness in approach from which a concurrent approach can be made possible. Using the 4-Plan model, companies will be able to address all problem areas (as represented by the management strategies mentioned above) to affect change to the process for effective quality, productivity and cost solutions. Throughout the days, participants will work through numerous exercises and design problems in order to ensure a high level of learning retention. Each learning session will help the participants relate to their own company's unique operation and how the issues of quality, productivity and cost performances can be hatched through Workflow Design, Workflow Planning and Work Performance. Understanding the correct applications of these three components can help many organizations implement TQC, JIT, TPM and TQM. The 4-Factor Plan model will be used throughout to focus the learning applications to Lead Time Reduction, Cycle Time Management and Job Design Engineering. The 4-Factors plan is a APRC model to quick-start in managing Cycle Time Reduction in any organization. |
